A perfect gift for the sailor in your family, a perfect place to store the keepsakes and memories from their years of service in a handcrafted heirloom wooden chest. Finger joined corners made from solid walnut stained pine. Includes emboss printed insert tray with routed handles. Made in Taylorsville NC for Vintage Editions by the Taylorsville Crate and Case Co. American handmade quality manufacturing at factory pricing using natural wood, leather handles, for a product that is beautiful and will last generations. Embossed printed Navy Seal on lid and inset tray – the image is literally stamped and embedded into the wood on an 80 year old rotary embossing press. OD – 17.75 x 12 x 9.75, ID 16.25 x 10.25 x 7.75. The chest is made from Radiata Pine. The wood is 3/4 thick and the outside is stained with a walnut colored oil finish. The sides are joined using a haunched box joint. A box joint means the ends of the wood pieces are interleaved almost like dove tails. The box is then pin nailed for a super strong joint. The box joint also adds a nice decorative accent to the piece.
