Civil War Federal Issue Blanket?? US Navy Old Antique Wool One of A Kind Rare Civil War Union Navy? I bought it at an estate sale in Oklahoma City this year. The wool is very tightly woven and scratchy- definitely wool but also feels like it could be blended with an even more durable fiber. I have no idea what the numbers or initials?? Mean, and they are embroidered through the blanket. Not a hole or a moth nibble to be found. The anchors match nothing I can find in my research. SO- we have here what looks to be a very old blanket in good condition with unidentifiable features. I will answer and accept all questions or comments on this one. Blanket measures 72.5″ x 42.5″.
