An original Los Angeles Times article about the Prairie dated August 10, 1986. A Navy Times article about Prairie’s 47th birthday dated October 5, 1987. Another article about Prairie’s 47th birthday. A history of the USS Prairie written in 1971. Photocopies of articles and clippings that appeared in various publications in 1942 and 1944. A complete issue of Sea Classics magazine in which Prairie was featured on the cover in October, 1991. A complete Life magazine issue dated September 14, 1942 which contains an article about a fire on board Prairie. 21 complete issues of “The Prairie Barker” newsletter published between August 1985 and May 1987, preserved in plastic notebook sleeves. Let me know if you want me to sign the cruise book, since I was its author! All the Prairie Barkers and some of the clippings will be in a binder. The other items will be in an envelope.
