WM Horstmann Company Philidelphia c. 1893-1935 USN Officer's Sword
WM Horstmann Company Philidelphia c. This Sword has the name R. Hudson engraved into the blade. It is believed that this sword may have belonged to Commander R. Hudson who served under Admiral Herbert F Leary in approximately 1942. At the time Admiral Leary was stationed in Australia where he coordinated the attack against the Japanese with General Douglas MacArthur. Commander Hudson would have been commissioned as an officer in the time frame this sword was made. Therefore it makes it plausible that this was his sword. Unfortunately this is just the sword. There is not a scabbard for the sword. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\Militaria (Date Unknown)\Navy”. The seller is “persnickety_pickers” and is located in this country: US.
