This an amazing example of the Hamilton Model 22 U. This box has the earliest example of both instruction label & locking closure I have ever seen. While this box has normal patina from use, the green felt lining is completely clean & intact and the plastic see through lens while very lightly scratched from cleaning is still quite transparent. The watch itself almost appears unused with virtually no wear or scratches! The original dial & hands are unblemished as well as the crystal (extremely minimal wear to the very center of the crystal from being in the box). The 21 jewel movement is not only virtually mint, it has just been completely serviced & re lubricated including a NOS balance staff & calibrating. Also has an intact dust cover which snaps into place (photo # 9). Not only does this chronometer keep amazing time, it is designed to run for over 50 hours on a single wind & the wind indicator hand is very accurately set.
