About 2 years ago this binocular was cleaned, collimated and refurbished, and I have been using it personally as my main astronomy binocular since then. The optics remain very clean, and performance is top notch. The views are sharp, clear and very easy on the eyes. The focusers are lubricated and are very smooth. This binocular has one minor issue in that one of the prisms has a small chip near an edge. The good news is that it does not affect the view at all. The last picture in the gallery details this. 41 was made in very limited numbers during WW2, and they are very difficult to come by. Please check out all the pictures in the gallery. I took some with the flash and some without. This is not just an American made binocular. It may be the greatest binocular ever made in America. The views are nothing short of phenomenal. The Mark 41 provides a sprawling and razor sharp 10 degree field of view with illumination and brightness not to be matched nor exceeded by any other Wide Field 7×50. The views are quite breathtaking, with an enormous amount depth and sharp focus. You may not see another one offered for a very long time.
