One of a kind! This vintage WWII US Navy gunners smock is in beautiful condition. No rips, holes, or tears. There are a few very small stains, about 1/4 to 1/2 in size. At some point in the 50s or 60s (my best guess) someone silk screened the St Michaels College logo across the back, making this an extremely unique and rare piece of clothing. St Michaels College is located in Colchester Vermont, close to the Canadian border. Their mascot is the Purple Knight, as featured on the back of this jacket. (Although the ink appears to have aged to a burgundy shade somewhere between purple and maroon). There appear to be no tags on the poncho, inside or out. All of the original string ties are still in place at the cuffs, the bottom, and around the face. 29 inches pit to pit. 22 inches shoulder to shoulder. 29 inches shoulder to cuff. 27 inches from collar to bottom.
