This Porro-prism binocular was completely restored by Dan Baldwin before he died. It is a magnificent instrument and beautifully restored. I owned it for many years before it was restored about two years ago. The image quality is legendary — a huge wide field “picture window” of bright image from the 50mm objective lenses. The prisms are huge. It weighs in at four pounds. This was made for the Navy — for spotting incoming aircraft. More likely, the Admiral used it.
