Super Sweet USG issue 1950s-vintage LW Foster G-1 7823 (AER) in’wear right now’ condition. Iconic deep brown heavily pebbled goatskin leather with subtle purple undertone with original rib-rack knits, copper-rust red mouton collar and dark burgundy lining. This specification runs small compared to modern sizes. So this jacket will not/NOT fit a modern size 46 man. It will positively drape a modern 42 and probably be just right for a true modern 44. Also, the Talon zipper is missing a few teeth so at least one side of the zipper will need replacing. This is the jacket’s sole flaw. Jacket has the correct “USN” stencil in the windflap, and per the contract, does not/NOT have the USN painted stencil under the back of the mouton collar. This jacket was manufactured when Dwight D. Eisenhower was President – before JFK, before Cuban Missile Crisis, before Viet Nam and WELL BEFORE Navy switched to cheaper jacket makers. This make and model is among the finest G-1s ever made. Here is the jacket contract. DA-36-243-QM(CTM)2134 SPECIFICATION NO. It is a beauty and I hate to let it go. Starting this low with no reserve because it’s time to let it go. WWII Era US Navy or USMC Pilot’s Mae West Life Preserver Vest – Dated 1945 – Excellent Condition. It is Navy Gray in color. This is an inflatable vest that was used by USN/USMC Pilots and Flight Crewmen During WWII. It was designed to be inflated by a CO2 cartridge or it can be manually inflated by the mouth inflation tube. The CO2 inflation mechanism are present. The vest is still flexible, not stiff. No rips or tears in the vest. It still has the two rubber inflation tubes for manual inflation.. There are two straps on the vest, both are still present. It is used, see photo’s for condition. It has the USN markings and is faintly dated 1945. WWII USN or USMC Fighter Pilot Display. This would make a great accessory to add to your USN/USMC Aviation Collection. Check out my other items.
