Vintage US Navy Absentee Collection Unit Law Enforcement Badge Plaque. This unique estate sale find is a Vietnam era unit plaque from Denver Colorado features a star with a Law Enforcement Badge and covers the five services at the time, Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force and Coast Guard. It is in great condition for its age (probably early-mid 1970s). The plaque is solid wood and brass, weighing in at over 5 lbs. A perfect and unique addition to any Navy or Law enforcement memorabilia collection. USN Absentee Collection Unit. The USN Absentee Collection Unit, also known as NACIC, is responsible for the collection and processing of absentees and deserters. NACIC operates 24 hours a day and is the only entry point for warrants for desertion into the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The unit provides timely and complete deserter information to civil law enforcement agencies and initiates the return of deserters apprehended by civil authorities. NACIC is the only entry point for warrants for desertion into the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Crime Information Center, and the Armed Forces.

USN Special Boat Unit 22 Louisiana State-Shaped Ceramic/Wood Plaque Given by the “River Rats” to Commodore R. Bell Sometime in the 1970’s. The ceramic insignia measures 6″ in diameter (clean and vibrant); the personalized brass plate measures 4″ x 2.25″ (quite legible); the large LA state-shaped hard-wood base measures 19″ diagonally and is almost 1 thick (some scuffs/nicks). Overall the piece is in very good+ antique condition showing age-appropriate patina; pics were shot with and without a flash.
