The colorful, hand-painted resin plaque measures 6″ x 7″; it is mounted on to a 8″ x 12.5″ hard wood base; the 3″ x 1.5″ personalized brass plate is clean and quite legible. This would have been one of the last plaques bestowed upon crew as the Bennington was decommissioned the very month that this plaque was given. He plaque is in very good antique condition. USS Providence CLG-6 Marine Detachment Brass Presentation Plaque… A Cleveland-class Cruiser, that served The Fleet from 1945 through 1973. The brass plaque measures 4.5″ in diameter and shows age-appropriate brass patina; the thick brass personalized plate measures 4″ x 2″ and is quite legible; the dense, hard wood base measures 7.25″ x 9.5 and is beautifully seasoned. There are velcro strips in the back if you’d like to mount it in that manner. Overall the piece is in very good antique condition. The pics were shot with and without a flash.
