Rare Complete Kriegsmarine German U Boat binoculars w/ case 7×50 Leitz BEH including the very rare original winged rubber cups which are almost unheard of to have survived. The rubber is still in good soft condition and they are usable. Also complete with the original two sets of coloured lenses which are also in excellent condition. Also still has the original Bakelite Benutzer eye piece cover rain guard on the elastic cord. Optical condition is good with no damage to any of the parts. There is still the drowning chicken on the right had prism cover although not shown in case somebody got upset. Case is Leitz marked and dated 1938. Closing strap to the case has been repaired, it looks as though the leather pull tan became detached and has been re-attached with cord. A very nice, completely original pair of 7×50 binoculars produced by. Unlike most, this pair still retains the original rubber armour to the bridge section and both objectives. The optics would certainly benefit from a service/overhaul if desired for use purposes. They come complete with their original leather/ Presstoff case, which displays the same signs of use and some defects to the rear belt loop/front closure tab – as are very often seen. The case is also nicely marked with the matching’beh’ maker code and dated 1944, as well as the large Kriegsmarine eagle property mark to the lid. A very nice, as issued and used set of these desirable KM binoculars!
