Navy WW2 / Korean War Vet Dog Tags and Medals Named Good Conduct. WW2 Medals are Mounted the Korean Medals are loose. This is from Find a Grave (Robert Stanley Rummel). Bob was born in Maryland and raised in West Virginia during the Great Depression. He enlisted in the U. Navy 1 month after the attack on Pearl Harbor. His primary MOS was Gunner’s Mate but volunteered for the fledgling Underwater Demolition Team during WWII, which he served with in the Pacific Theater. Retired from the Navy in 1961.

This Vietnam War era Navy Pea Coat peacoat is size 38L (38 long) and is in excellent condition. Very dark navy almost black. Please review the photos of the coat right side out as well as inside out. The tag reads “DSA 100-69-C-1448″ and the “69” indicates the manufacturing year by Dale Fashions. A rare addition stamped as this is a military issue and their service number. The coat is heavy, weighing 4.6 pounds, and is made of US Navy Midnight Blue 100% Kersey wool. Of note, prior to the 1970’s kersey wool was used in the pea coats which was much more dense, warm, and heavy than the melton wool. It has full button closure, is double breasted, has a Naval anchor logo on each button (8 buttons total), and one button attached to the interior of the left front to secure the front flap. Measurements are in inches. Shoulder to shoulder: 18. Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff): 26.5. Length (back bottom of collar to hem): 22.25.
