A very nice, completely original pair of 7×50 binoculars produced by. Unlike most, this pair still retains the original rubber armour to the bridge section and both objectives. The optics would certainly benefit from a service/overhaul if desired for use purposes. They come complete with their original leather/ Presstoff case, which displays the same signs of use and some defects to the rear belt loop/front closure tab – as are very often seen. The case is also nicely marked with the matching’beh’ maker code and dated 1944, as well as the large Kriegsmarine eagle property mark to the lid. A very nice, as issued and used set of these desirable KM binoculars! Many thanks for looking and please feel free to check out our other WWII German optics, accessories etc. The item “WWII German Kriegsmarine Leitz Wetzlar BEH 7×50 U-boat Binoculars Fernglas Cased” is in sale since Monday, July 12, 2021. Cased Royal Navy Commanders Bicorn, Epaulettes and Sword Belt c1930’s. A Royal Navy Commanders dress bicorn, epaulettes and sword belt in original case dating to around the 1930’s. The commander in questions name is written on the case but unfortunately through time the name has been worn away in parts so. Is almost impossible to make out. What can be read is Commander’R. It could be Forb… But any letters after that are. Too worn to read. The plush bicorn has a black, pleated silk cockade with a gold bullion coil to the centre and bullion coils at either end. It has a pleated. Cream silk liner and leather sweat band. The gold bullion fringed epaulettes both have the silver bullion foul anchor and Kings crown denoting a commanders rank. The sword belt is of black leather with three gold officers stripes & finished with the gilt buckle with Kings crown. The set comes in its original metal carry case with, as mentioned before, the commanders name upon it as well as several travelling. The bicorn has a length of approximately 43cm (17 inches). There is a label on the sweat band which tells us the hat size is 6 7/8 which equates to an approximate inner circumference of 56cm. The belt and epaulettes are of a standard size. The tin case measures 48cm (19 inches) by 23cm (9 inches) with a height of 21.5 (8 ½ inches). The set in tin weighs 6.610 Kg. The bicorn is missing the button to the front which secures the gold bullion coil in place. The inner silk has degraded around the edge below the sweatband, the majority of which cannot be seen. The plush finish of the bicorn has a little wear along the edges but is otherwise very clean and fresh. One of the epaulettes crown badge is coming loose and there are a few little marks to the finish on both but otherwise the epaulettes. Are in a very nice condition. The belt has a little discolouration to the buckle but is otherwise in good order. The keys to the tin are not present. The tin is essentially in a locked state but rather than break the tin someone has simply removed. The hinge pins on the front fasteners to gain access. The tin itself is somewhat worn with rust patches and wear but is sound with no damages and is reasonably clean to the interior. A piece of the interior, a handle? Which should be attached to an epaulette shelf has come off but is still present and could be re. The paper stickers to the outside are deteriorating and peeling quite significantly note – although due care will be taken, due to. Their delicate nature we can’t guarantee the stickers will remain in the same state as in the pictures.
