USS Thomaston LSD-28 Painted Resin Plaque on Wood Base… The hand-painted resin-cast plaque measures 5.5″ x 7″ is in very good antique condition showing some typical–but not excessive–age/handing wear. The large badge-style wood base measures 10″ x 12.5″ and also is in very good antique condition with typical cosmetic nicks/rubs. There’s a bracket on the back for convenient wall hanging. The Thomaston served from 1954 to 1984, and during its 30-year career, racked up 11 Battle Stars and numerous other accolades.
