Buckle features rare enamel work tastefully done on the palm trees and name NICK etched at top of buckle with farmer, water buffalo and haystacks. The engraving work is top notch on this piece. This one comes out of my collection. Buckle measures 2-5/8″ long x 1-3/8″ high x 5/16 deep. Good luck & God Bless!!

Rather scarce item from the WWII – Korean War – Vietnam war era. Aluminum plaque diameter measures 6 3/4″, wooden shield piece is made from mahogany and measures about 10″ x 12. From wikipedia: USS Soley (DD-707), an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer, was named for James R. Soley, who became Assistant Secretary of the Navy in 1899. Soley was responsible for the collection and publication of Union and Confederate Naval records. He is considered to be a naval historian. Finish on wooden shield is dry and thin, aluminum plaque has strong color and good paint. Please view all pictures. Encouraged and welcome, always happy to answer. To check out my other items!
