Offered for sale is this 1st pattern WWII US Navy deck jacket fresh from the family estate (dirt and all). Its completely original and in about as good of condition as you will find- if youre lucky enough to find another. Size 44, and featuring jungle cloth shell with rear back panel stencil, navy wool ribbing, fully functioning deco Talon #5 zipper with matching bell puller, patch d-pockets, and navy melton wool lining. Do not be confused; the clasp weather storm version is the second iteration, which was thereafter replaced by the longer cut N-1. This version shares many characteristics of the US Army tanker jacket, but they are not one in the same. In addition to different shell fabrics, this has a nylon fabric sandwiched between the outer shell and inner liner for added wind protection. Condition is as pictured, but I will do my best to describe the issues in earnest: The inner liner has separated from two of the three o-ring rivets in the left armpit. The knits have a few holes, and the top part of both cuffs have separated from the hem; however, all these things are repairable and without need for replacement ribbing. Moreover, there is obvious soiling throughout the outer shell, but it looks to me to be mostly superficial that would come out with a gentle hand washing- but will leave that to the next owner to decide.
