ARTIFACT: This is a scarce circa World War II United States Navy submarine combat patrol badge by Gemsco. The badge is in sterling silver with two gold patrol stars. It is the early style and has a locking catch. VINTAGE: Circa World War II. SIZE: Approximately 1/2″ in height and 2-1/4″ in width. MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, gilt brass. ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch; stars have brads. ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Navy. CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some light wear and tarnish. GUARANTEE: This piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
