ORIGINAL WW2 M422A NAVY FLIGHT JACKET – RARE LARGE SIZE. This is an original and rare World War 2 issue US Navy M422A flight jacket in a rare large size and is generally in good condition for its age. Unfortunately it has lost its original tag but was most likely made by Willis & Geiger Inc. It is marked USN in black under the collar and you can see the marks on the chest where a badge or insignia was originally pinned. The leather is good with no tears or holes and has a wonderful aged patina. However there is some heavy wear over one shoulder (see pictures). It is still soft and supple and the jacket could easily be worn by the new owner. The marked Talon zipper works perfectly. The lining and waistband are good, however the cuffs have some damage to the knit. There is also one button missing on the left front pocket under the flap. Size: The jacket measures size 48 in 1940’s sizing. Please use the approximate measurements below (including knits). 24 armpit to armpit. 21 shoulder seam to shoulder seam (strait at the back). 28 shoulder seam (top of shoulder) to the end of cuff outside. 23 pit to cuffs. 29 from nap of neck (bottom of collar) to the end of waist band.
