US WWII Korean War Winter Field Parka w/ Pile Alpaca Liner M1947 USMC USN. Excellent condition M1947 winter field parka as issued by USMC or USNavy. USMC and USN parkas have the big cloth side tabs at the waist instead of the tunnel for the web belt and are much more rare. This parka is in size small and is in excellent condition with little use. The alpaca liner is trimmed with light shade OD left over from early WWII and is not the dark OD #7 used for most of WWII and all of Korean War. Original brass small tooth Talon zipper is in excellent working condition and has original issue cord pull still attached to zipper pull. The parka shell without liner measures about 24 inches armpit to armpit without the liner. With the liner snapped in, armpit to armpit is 22.5 inches on the inside. So if you are wearing just a shirt, a small fits bigger sizes. These parkas were designed to be worn over long underwear, wool shirts and pants, sweater, cotton m43 style field pants and jacket, muffler, wool hat, helmet, wool mittens and shells.
