Vintage WW2 Era USN G-1 Brown Leather Flight Bomber Jacket Scovill Zip S / M. The G-1 Military Flight Jacket was originally called the M-422A and introduced by the U. Navy in the 1930s. In 1943, this jacket was named by the Navy and the Army Air Forces as the ANJ-3. It officially became the G1 in 1947. The G-1 as compared to the A-2 leather flight jacket has a fur lined collar, Bi-Swing back & button down flap pockets on the front. This is a very old jacket which I would date to the WW2 era based on the collar and the overall jacket and zipper. This has a heavily distressed look and is cracking on about 80 years old. Used and in heavily used distressed vintage condition with general heavy signs of use and abrasion throughout. Some of the collar sheepskin has come away, the rear left arm has had a new panel, and there is a hole under the collar near the throat tab approx 2cm. Heavy bobbling to the ribs.
