Hi, thanks for viewing! To start, this grouping is very near and dear to me but I feel that now is the time that I must part with this. Unfortunately the health and well being of my family is more important at this time than material things and we will forever cherished the memories far beyond personal effects. This group has been in my grandparents garage since being brought back from the war by him and there it sat untouched and undisturbed until now. Due to my minimal experience with United States military I have consulted various people, posted to multiple forums and pages to better understand this grouping. Yes this is the same helmet that was posted on War Relics forum and various other posting pages. From my understanding the helmet is an Early M-1 Fixed Bale with light straps & Front Seam, with a Hawley First Pattern General Fiber Liner and original chinstrap. The Hawley liner is in fantastic condition as you can see from the photos as well as the shell. The owners name is stenciled on the outside of the helmet as well as on the outside of the liner. The chinstrap is in great condition and is original to the helmet. I know these can be difficult to find especially on original helmets so if you want more pics of it or anything else please me know! The helmet is 100% original in every way and if you have any questions, concerns or thoughts, please dont hesitate to ask! Judging by the M1 Heat stamp chart it looks like this helmet was produced in Nov/Dec of 1941? This would also explain the various other themed items in the grouping.
