The unit is the second oldest formal aerobatic team (under the same name) in the world, after the French Patrouille de France formed in 1931. 2021 marked the 75th Anniversary of the Blue Angels Naval Flight Demonstration Squadron. The year also saw the squadron upgrade to the F/A-18E (single-seat) and F/A-18F (two-seat) Super Hornet, replacing the legacy F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets that the flight demonstration team has flown for 34 years. Witty’s has taken steps to make this model one of the finest on the market, and one of this mold’s highlights is a correct hydraulic actuator, which supports a canopy that is made of very clear, thin plastic. Other details include movable elevators, a deployable speed brake that can be held open with the hinged hydraulic actuator, detailed landing gear struts, doors and wells, and independently hinged stabilators and rudders that remain firmly in place when adjusted.
