This “Cracker Jack” uniform was worn by my grandfather who enlisted in the US Navy Reserve (Camp WIssahickon NJ) in 1918. Hat – Marked “US Navy”. Deck and Boat Book of 1918. All the items are worn and the whites are very heavily used/stained. All the original buttons are still attached. Seven of the original tie strings for stowage are included. There are some small moth holes in the blues, one rip in working blue pants. Cap liner is brittle with age. Book binding separated but all pages still attached. Sailor’s name on several items in what appears to be white paint. Here are the dimensions as best I could get them, measured off the dress blues. Shoulder to shoulder – 20. Mid Chest around back to same spot – 39. Length outside – 42″ (there’s about a 1.5″ inside hem on each leg).
