This is an awesome Vintage 1950’s USN N1 DECK JACKET plus extras from the USS SUBMARINE SEA CAT SS-399. Slick Griffith from Gardendale Alabama. Feb 22, 1930 – Feb 16, 2019. Charles Slick Lebron Griffith, Jr. Passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019, six. Days before his 89th birthday. Slick was a veteran of the Koran War, serving in the Navy. For four years aboard the Submarine USS SEACAT as Electrician Petty Officer. This lot includes the Deck Jacket, two named white uniform tops, and his original duffle bag. The N1 Deck Jacket features a great “SEA CAT “39 stencil on the back with a truly amazing drawing of the Sea Cat!!! The Talon zipper works great but I don’t think it is an original. It is missing the lower two front buttons. It has some minor wear and tear as you can see in the pictures. It is clean and can be worn as is. I tried the jacket on and my guess is it is either a size 38 or 40. The jacket is NOT SIZED. It has the following measurements: The chest measures 21 inches from pit to pit. The length is 28.5 inches from the top collar to the bottom of the jacket. The sleeves are 23.5 inches from pit to cuff. The lot also includes two white uniform tops with his name stenciled on and his original duffle bag with his name stenciled on large ALABAMA and SLICK painted on with a unique multicolor knit drawstring and of course his name stenciled on.
