This is an extremely fine World War II U. Navy 5-medal bar that is in excellent condition. The group consists of the U. Navy Good Conduct Medal, the Naval Reserve Medal, the American Campaign with one bronze star, the Asia-Pacific Theater Medal with invasion arrowhead and two bronze campaign stars, and the World War II Victory Medal. The medals are mounted on to a clutch back, navy-blue stiffener that allowed wear on the navy-blue jumper. The Good Conduct Medal is named to, GEORGE FREDRICK LORENZEN and dated, 1945. All medals are hand sewn in the overlapping position with undamaged ribbons that possesses vibrant color. The assault arrowhead on the Asia-Pacific Theater Medal would indicate the recipient was most likely a coxswain on a landing craft. With the late 1945 date on the Good Conduct Medal, the two campaign stars on the Asia-Pacific Theater Medal would most likely be for amphibious island assaults on Guam, Saipan, or Iwo Jima.
