This is an original WWII contract deck parka overcoat. It is size 38 and the contract dates it to March or April 1945. The coat is in very good, used condition with some soiling that should brush off with a stiff brush. It looks like someone sat down on wet dirt and it stuck to the rear where the butt cheeks would be. There is some other dinginess but that is mostly superficial also and should come out pretty easily. There is one spot, about the size of a half dollar, of the alpaca lining that is worn but otherwise it is in great shape. The zipper end on the male side came off so the zipper wont work but the buttons are all there. If you could find a matching zipper and salvage the starter tab and press it back on the zipper should work fine. I didnt have a zipper on hand that matched but the end is not frayed or damaged other than the metal guide missing.
