Original 1945 US Navy N-1 Deck jacket. This is from the USS Sea Poacher Submarine. Contract tag lists size as 42. Chest measures 23 inches, sleeve measures 25 inches and shoulder measures 19 inches. Jacket shows minimal wear, both to the outer fabric and alpaca lining. The cuff edges are crisp with no fraying, wear or tears. The fur is fully intact with no bald spots. Wool sleeve cuffs are still tight and not stretched out. Jacket retains original waistband lace w/ metal capped ends and fully functional deco talon zipper. All buttons are present. Fabric has some scattered stains/discolorations, but nothing really noticeable. The zipper is missing one or two teeth toward the bottom, please refer to the photos as it will serve as a better description. This is an estate sale find, I do not know if it’s from a smoking home. I would like to clarify that the zipper moves fully and easily up and down the teeth…. BUT because a tooth is missing on the right side of the zipper I did not try to zip it up for fear that it would get stuck.
