WW-2 era US Navy Mark I fighting knife with original Navy-gray scabbard. Choice of ONE of Five knives See Below for details. This Mark 1 is in rare mint unissued condition, still in the original paper wrap, complete with rare WW-2 period Pal Cutlery care instructions. Parkerized 5 blade retained 100% of its original gray finish; no contact marks on the handle; the scabbard is still covered in waxy green protective tape, just the way it left PAL’s factory during the war. VERY rare this complete and unused. This type is illustrated on pages 9 and 10 in. KNIVES OF THE UNITED STATES MILITARY WORLD WAR II. Book by Michael W. This Mark I has the stacked leather washers & colored fiber spacers handle with aluminum pommel and steel handguard. All handle parts are solid with zero movement. Guard is excellent and rust-free. Care and Use of Your Knife. Instructions paper is pretty frail from the prolong contact with the leather handle. Most of Mark I knives were used in the field as intended; this type is VERY rare in near-mint, unused condition – a rare find and a great addition to any collection! This scarce WW-2 era knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, 100% original condition. These are the actual photos; spent brass is not included with this lot.
