WWII US Navy Torpedoman’s Mate Deck Jacket Coat Submariner Alpaca 42 WW2 NxSx. Sleeve from shoulder: 24.5. Long overcoat style with attached hood; fully lined in long-hair Alpacca. Long tanged brass CONMAR zipper. Buttons also in front. Metal breathing grommets in armpits. 3 flap pockets, bottom ones lined in navy blue wool. Cuffs have 2 buttons and a strap outside and have wool cuffs inside. Hood is also fully lined and has a drawstring. Outside, the hood has a strap and buckle so you can roll it up when not in use. This coat was made for the harshest of all conditions and has withstood the years very well. This looks like a NxSx36127 contract coat, however this is made of impregnated canvas and is waterproof, thus making it a submariners coat. Minor stains here and there, but it is 95% excellent. No rips, no repairs, nothing unsightly. Boxed weight is 5 pounds, 15 ounces. We are liquidating a 30′ storage locker in Southern Oregon full of vintage and military clothing.
